Over the past 7 days, my daughter and I have both had the flu and I had shoulder surgery on my dominant side. As a result, I have been doing more watching than writing. This week’s post is, therefore, a bit of a departure from my norm.
Today I want to share with you a brief message about focus. It’s a topic I address often, because it’s so crucial to your success. With so many distractions in today’s world, we tend to be tossed around from thing to thing and from one sensory experience to another. However, an overwhelming majority of people are reporting less enjoyment, less satisfaction, less fulfillment. This week, I’d love for you to savor this brief TED talk, called “Unwavering Focus”. In this seventeen minute talk, Hindu priest Dandapani gives us a crystal clear explanation of the relationship between awareness and the mind, and how regaining control of our awareness gives us tremendous power to use our mind as a tool for success. Enjoy (and stay focused)!
